Rig Vedazz or Rigs Vedazz
fuck yeah, a Rig Vedazz album! Even though the band name amuse me, got hold of the much awaited released of the year Zaching- RigVedazz. When I received ‘Zaching-Rig’, hoping it lives upto the wait. My expectation from it was quite low,
primarily because of the drums sound too much programmed on few songs i heard before.But trust me!You will
love the guitar work.
The above perspective completely changes after few spin. it takes 3 spins before it starts growing onto
you.It would be unfair pigeonholing their genre, there is influence/rip-off of Metallica,Iron-
Maiden,Megadeth, 80's rock Ballad,Evanesense,Mimin Baite,Gouhau and have covered almost everything. I'm
not too fond of melodic death metal though.
First track from the album-Zogam Zomi, start off with scorpion's/80's style guitar plucking.I guess thats
how all the rock ballad begin hehe.
Na Siang zuanin- Mark Knofler signature guitar style rock song, you can shake a leg or two and twist
along.
Noplen'ang feat RDI- Here the music style get more comtemporary with gothic/melodic metal influence. That
would be the reason for featuring female vocal :-). Only sound more like a singer from Dr Kamkhenthang
music album :-). Her voice sounds all over the place, in an impressive way.
Ngilhta na hiam-What Ive felt listening this!Nevermind.. so I dub this unforgiven :-)
Am in-First thought its a English track-I am in :-). An artsy intro,then a Mimin Baite style catchy rock
tunes and some guitar shredding.
Title track Zaching, lyrics by Fred, reckon the melody/tune are also his.The album titled song is always
expected to be distinctive and best track of the album, which would in turn define the album. The name
itself suggest its a love-ballad, it seems the mixing/ sound engineer or the band made extra effort to
sound better than others.
Henkol Sut-Another attempt to do a gothic music but failed miserably,
Zohna Laa feat. Remkim- Megadeth influence intro then ZAA choir/parade style song.
Laizom it te- this song really soothes your ear, with clean guitar, bluesy, rock and roll and quite
memorable songs.
Vonggah (Thang leh Ching)-WTF, are they running our of tune or just a filler, hehe or is this a song from
some upcoming broadway musical show: lots of emotive singing or naration. After 7 minutes into the song to
be precise at 7.33 minute (thats in the middle of the song;-), not the end ), the guitarist seems
exausted. missing timing or was it played thay way only..
Zawlla- Korean movie influence intro/outro with cathy and sing along tune.At first, you think it's about
Gal— and it might be — but I'm guessing it's about a gal who changed for the worse and pissed him
off, they way the singers growl to a love song in the end part.Pardon my ignorance or complete lack of
knowledge about lyricsWhat get me exited is the Zangtalam style part of the song, really wish someday some band played such
songs/full length album that are deeply influence by our bluesy-folk music and tunes, be it
Zangtalam,Kahla,Zunekla,Phitlam or folk tales. Thats where we can create our own identity and style of
music.
The VIDEOS-It got all the common ingredient, the Khuga Dam water, the Chicks, The band,Slow motion. What
da ..watermark inthe video is for??? It can get so much better than this.Too many room for improvement.
They seems to be running out of ideas oh not required at all. Or they running short of dresses, after
changing from Levi's jeans then Thangpu's Shirt :-D
It's catchy and rocking and modern sounding album.The refrains are easy to remember and sing a long with.
Each member in the Rigs Vedazz quarted plays his own share really well, but I´m especially keen on
Mangzalian´s virtuoso-like guitar mastery.It’s one of those albums you have to love and that grows even stronger on you for each time you listen to
it. Fans of such varied musical taste as goth, pop and rock can unite in this band. Buying this DVD wouldn't be a waste of hard-earned cash. In the end, "Zaching" is an album which can be
heard by the almost anyone who like pop, hard rock or metal.

Pellou Tongchiam, probably my favourite track of the album! The guitar riffing is catchy, so is the Drum. Songs to headbang,jump and mosh with. Good song for live concert song and to start the album with. Kabui/Naga nam lakaih khat hon phoksak
Ami Zalai ah - Mimin's growling in this song ops!, what sounds like a sore throat. He can scream at the top of his lungs, but this growling thing sounds funny to me. The keyboard sound suite. Good that he growl only on this song, keep the growling thing with Fred Tunglut.
Nau Bang Kahna – I think this song gonna be popular at the Khawmpi’s. Catchhy tune
Ngaih Nanglou in- Another ballad and khawmpi song
Ei leh Ei- One would imagine the album titled song to be special and unique, which would in turn define the album. However the song sounds like something I have heard before. Like his voice pitch when he try to imitate Bruce Dickinson ot Lien Gangte ( Phoeneek, sory not sure how they spell)
Tunnu itna- Are they playing khuang at lengkhawm instaed of drums. Could have be programed for better sound.
Singtawi - This track doesnt stand out much. The chorus sound like “Zu kakhawm chiang”
Lungdeih Lia Zozam – Is this track from his previous album? O no! This is Mimin trade mark style.Banghang Hiam – Didn’t we have too many ballad??
Ngaih Lianu – Listening to this simply remind me of the rock ballad king Scorpion, but makes a good listenin’
Am listening to the tracks as I type my words. The album is very listenable and will grow on anyone if you keep listening. Even though “the Musician” tends to run out of ideas, it is pretty enjoyable if you're into this kind of Rock ballad/80’s 90’s rock and love songs where the songs lyrics matter more than the music. All in all, this was a good effort with the musical style but its high time the dinosaur of Zo music take break for a while and let new ideas and sound emerge. ..am talking of Rock/Metal here ..hehehe
The skills are okay but know they have to work on an own identity if they want to make it big at National/International scene. I could have really enjoy more into this style of music had this CD been release 10/15 year ago. When the Love, Hard and Heavy Rock/Soft rock volumes compilation (I own all the compilation release) were quite popular, i:e; 80’s and 90’s. I don’t like the videos at all, I had to minimise the media to write this. After every song end I expect a better song/video or atleast good chicks to compensate the atrocious video.

My all time, Mimin’s, fav. Song Zo Lianu was a alleviation,even the video quality is same as the youtube’s video. Me being more into of rock/metal genre, rather than soft rock ballad and know not more than a dozen guitar cord, I may be doing Mimin/Go an injustice..Buying this CD wouldn't be a waste of hard-earned cash.
Oppsss I almost forget to have my dinner, damnit, had to cook also. Fyi- the view could change as I said, it grows as you listen. Now playing the entire album and turn on the “repeate mode” while preparing myself a national curry-dal huan and aktui kan
